L'AUBERGE DE LA MEIJE A PLACE FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND EXCHANGE
In partnership with the Ecrins National Park, local associations, the town hall, the PGHM or as part of an ad-hoc programme, the hostel hosts and programmes concerts, storytelling evenings, conferences and debates, workshops and other events focusing on knowledge, practice and culture in the mountains.
Hikes and walks around La Bérarde

La Bérarde offers different levels of hiking trails and different durations (loop around the Maye footbridge, Carrelet refuge), as well as hardest and challenging hikes (Bonne Pierre, Chardon and Pilatte valleys, Sous le pic de La Bérarde, Temple Ecrins and Promontoire refuge, Tête de la Maye...)
Throughout the Vénéon valley, you will find varied routes accessible on foot, by car or with the shuttle in July and August: in Saint-Christophe en Oisans, starting from Les Étages and Champhorent hamlets, from the village and from the lake (vallons des Étages, de la Mariande, de la Muande, de Lanchatra, refuges du Soreiller, de la Lavey, de l'Alpe du Pin et de la Selle) and downstream, in Venosc (la Muzelle and le Lauvitel).

Cycling, motorcycling and touring
La Bérarde is located at the end of the valley, the RD531 departmental road which leads there was the last road of the Oisans to be built in 1921, its 28 kilometres alternates false flats and slopes of 11% at some point, like many passes roads which are numerous in Oisans.
Some curves and long straights, a few viewpoints along the way from which you can admire spectacular views of mountain scenery.
Whitewater in the Vénéon valley
Whitewater activities in the turquoise fast-flowing glacial waters of the Vénéon river, one of the most powerful of the French Alps start from May to September.
